"Remember my words: if the government changes, the future government in Serbia will force you, and will force the Serbs to go to Thompsons concerts and will tell us how this is new patriotism and how this is new cooperation in Europe. Remember what I told you, they will make the Serbs shout: For the Commission and to shout how nice they are to shout: Ready for home."
With these words, the president of Serbia and candidate for the future prime minister addressed the people of Niš. He added that he will tell people that it is not only Severina, that Thompson is also good.
"Look at how theirs, the Croatian fake leftist media, the pro-Yugoslav tent and so on, are running the finest and most perfidious campaign for Thompson. So the people gathered, and very beautifully, they sang: Cavoglava battalions, we will reach you, gang of Chetniks, our hand in Serbia and the Serbs," said Aleksandar Vučić. "There were those in the Second World War. There were as many as you want. A purse, a bow, a secretary, an easy life. Well, I don't have to be a Serb, but the state of Serbia must not allow that."
He also frightened them with stories about the Second World War and a camp for children in Croatia. This is the narrative that the regime has been "nurturing" since the beginning of the student protests, which is that the rebellion of students and citizens came from outside, from foreign mercenaries, including Croatia. Since then, he has been trying in every possible way to connect this country with the people who are allegedly working for Vučić. The latest threat is just one step away.
On the other hand, if he is elected, Nis will get a new maternity hospital, and the investment is 100 million euros. He also says that only "our" architects and experts will be hired and that the work will be carried out only by domestic companies.
