"I pointed out that the world is at a historical turning point and that it depends only on us what kind of future we will create for the generations to come," said the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić talking about his participation in the summit Ukraine - Southeast Europe in Odessa.
He stated that he also spoke about the increasingly strong need for intensifying dialogue and quickly achieving peace as a precondition for solving all other open issues.
Vučić announced on Instagram that he advocates that the voice of diplomacy be heard as loudly as possible in order to better understand each other.
Vučić's one-day visit is the first since the beginning of the Russian invasion in 2022.
He discussed with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi the key issues of contemporary geopolitical challenges facing Europe and the whole world.
"We exchanged opinions on the importance of achieving long-term and sustainable peace, respect for international law, as well as the role of diplomacy in overcoming conflicts," wrote Vučić.
He added that they discussed economic topics and common goals in achieving the strongest possible joint cooperation in various social spheres as the foundation of any further progress.
