Member of the Serbian Progressive Party Vladimir Djukanovic reacted ironically to the results of the vote for the president of the municipality of Kula, by writing on the X social network that he was "begging" councilors with student list from the recent elections that they do not insist on joining SNS.
"We are asking the councilors of the so-called student lists throughout Serbia, where the elections were held recently, not to rush with initiatives to join us. We will talk to each of you, just please be patient," wrote Đukanović.
He added that in Sphere after the session held on Monday, "unbearable pressure" for councilors from the student list to become part of the ruling majority.
At the second session of the Municipal Assembly in Kula on Monday, Vesna Tomić, the SNS candidate, was elected as the municipal president, with 20 votes for and 17 against.
Such a result indicates that someone from the opposition list also supported Vesna Tomić.
Kula got the president of the municipality from SNS, someone from the opposition also voted for her
"SNS fraud is not ruled out"
"All available material related to Monday's vote for the president of the Kula municipality has been forwarded for "deeper analysis", and the possibility of fraud by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and substitution during the counting of votes has not been ruled out," Katarina Petrović, representative of the marketing and PR team of the Voice of the Youth of the Kula municipality, told FoNet.
"The public, and above all the voters who put their trust in us, will be informed in a timely manner about the results of all the analyzes that we have been conducting since yesterday," said Katarina Petrović, adding that she would not be surprised if it was "theft and a designed attempt to harm the student movement."
She pointed out that she is aware that, if it is proven that someone from the list of the Voice of the Youth of the Kula municipality knowingly voted for the SNS candidate, the public wants the name and surname of that person.
"If something like that is established, that person will bear the responsibility and consequences," said Katarina Petrović.
