The Ministry of Information and Telecommunications of Serbia congratulated the citizens on Easter with wishes for peace, restraint and deliberation.
Along with the Easter greetings, an invitation was also sent to the state authorities to "urgently enable regular working conditions for the Radio-television of Serbia and its journalists, especially since RTS represents a fundamental institution of information in the whole of Serbia".
"The fall of RTS under the pressure of blockaders would have the meaning of a 'coup d'état', i.e. the fall of social order. Another meaning of unblocking the work of RTS is fundamental human rights, such as the right to work, the right to information and others," the statement signed by the new Minister of Information Boris Bratina emphasized.
He demands from the competent authorities to react in order to bring the working conditions of RTS to a regular state and investigate all the circumstances of the blockade.
"This, conditionally speaking, the release of RTS at the given moment would certainly contribute to the lowering of tensions in our society as a whole, which would again contribute to the aspiration towards the stability of the state, on the one hand, and social dialogue on the other, since it is the best way to peace in our society, the peace that evokes even the happiest day of Christianity," said Bratina.
