The red level of security threats from terrorism is abolished

Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic decided to cancel the red level of security threats from terrorism, considering the reduced level of security challenges, risks and threats from a terrorist act

From 19:5 on July XNUMX, the red level of security threats from of terrorism and moves to the yellow level, which is moderate degree of threat from terrorism.

In accordance with the yellow level of security threats, members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will undertake increased precautionary measures and attention, in order to protect facilities of vital importance for Serbia, key infrastructure facilities, shopping centers, cinemas, public facilities and places of mass gatherings.

The red level of security threats from terrorism was declared on June 29 due to a terrorist attack in front of the Embassy of Israel in which one police officer was injured and the assailant was killed.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić then announced that the red security alert would most likely be in effect on July 2, but its lifting was extended until July 5.
