Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad it proposed a 30-day detention for the lawyer Nemanja Aleksić, who was arrested on April 5th.
"On the occasion of the events of April 5 in Veternik, when the suspect NA was detained for the criminal offense of assault on an official in the performance of official duties, the criminal offense of endangering security and the criminal offense of violent behavior, the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad informs the public that on April 7, the suspect NA was questioned before the acting public prosecutor on the circumstances of the criminal offenses charged against him.
After the hearing, the prosecution submitted a proposal to the Basic Court in Novi Sad for the detention of the suspect for 30 days, the prosecution announced.
Nemanja Aleksic is busted after he attacked the driver with a bat, after an argument in traffic.
The traffic police patrol, which happened to be at the scene, tried to intervene, but Aleksić resisted the policemen, who then knocked him to the ground and handcuffed him.
As Danas announced, Aleksić was tested for narcotic drugs with a rapid drug test, and the test confirmed that the lawyer tested positive for amphetamine.
