Five people suspected of attacking students and journalists during a protest in front of FDU on November 22, 2024 have been identified and will be heard in January. The students previously claimed that the attackers were members of SNS, which caused violent reactions from the public
The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade announced that in the case formed on the occasion of the criminal complaint against the dean of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, identified persons who, as is suspected, on November 22, 2024, in front of the mentioned faculty, committed the crime of Violent behavior at a public gathering or sports event.
The prosecution identified AJ, DK, MK, IS and MA as suspects for the commission of this criminal act
The VJT in Belgrade will send invitations to the suspects for hearings, which are planned to take place on January 9 and 10, 2025, they pointed out.
The victims in this case will be invited to testify in the prosecution on January 30 and 31, 2025.
"In addition to the above, the prosecution undertakes other actions within its jurisdiction in order to verify the allegations of the criminal complaint that was submitted to the Third Primary Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade on December 2, 2024 by the dean of the FDU against unknown persons, and which was taken over by the VJT in Belgrade on December 12 ", the announcement states.
The report states that unknown persons attacked students, employees and journalists who gathered in front of that faculty at 11.52:1 a.m. to pay their respects to the victims of the fall of the canopy at the railway station in Novi Sad on November 2024, 15, and which group are students reported to the MUP with a plan to close Art Boulevard in front of the FDU for XNUMX minutes.
Let us remind you that the FDU students previously named the attackers by name and demanded that those who beat them be immediately sanctioned: Milija Koldžić, Aleksandar Jokić, Dušan Kostić, Milena Aleksić and Ivan Stanišić, and for whom very quickly, thanks to social networks, found out that they are all members of SNS.
