On the occasion of writing a large number of disturbing graffiti in which the author and presenter of the show "24 minutes with Zoran Kesić" connects with the date of the tragedy in Novi Sad, the police were provided with information about the recorded car in which the perpetrators were being transported, Veran Matić, a member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, told the newspaper Danas.
In addition to that, and the fact that a large number of graffiti are located in locations completely covered by security cameras, according to the information at their disposal, the police are "still working on the identification" of the perpetrators.
Call after 14 days
Zoran Kesic he said that the day before yesterday, 14 days after the report, he received an invitation to report to the prosecutor's office for an interview.
"From the representative of the MUP in the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, I received information that was forwarded from the Belgrade Police Department - that they are 'still working on the identification' of the perpetrators." I also believe that the prosecutor's office, which summoned Zoran Kesić, will additionally issue an order to collect information from the MUP in order to speed up this activity," said Matić.
He adds that along with the criminal and misdemeanor charges, he also provided the police with information about the recorded car in which those who wrote graffiti on buildings and tried to intimidate Kesić were transported.

Most of the graffiti, in a huge number of locations in the center of Belgrade, as well as on the buildings of various institutions, has not been removed to this day. On the other hand, we have witnessed that all the graffiti referring to the criticism of the government, in the past months, were crossed out almost at the same moment, or at least on the same day, and in addition, city utility companies were used to clean them.
"Crocodile citizens' association and built individually have removed some of the graffiti, and this action will continue tomorrow, and we hereby invite everyone in their surroundings to do what they can to remove those but also all other graffiti that spread hate speech, are threatened, insulted and disturb the citizens," said Matić.
Silence of the Ministry of Information
It is also interesting that the Ministry of Information, since the incident and the report, has not advertised or condemned the writing of graffiti.
In their response to Danas newspaper, the minister's office explained that they do not consider the content of the graffiti a threat, but neither pressure, so it follows that their reaction is also unnecessary.
In its explanation, the Ministry also referred to the statement of Zoran Kesić himself about what the graffiti could refer to, without mentioning the part in which the presenter explains how the statement from his guest appearance in Sarajevo was taken out of context, and what he actually said while staying there.
The Ministry also referred to the NUNS database on cases of obstructing the work or endangering the safety of journalists, in which the case was not characterized as a threat, but as a form of pressure.
"The Ministry agrees with the position of NUNS that it is not a threat, and the Ministry does not see the potential nature of the pressure that would be contained in the text of the mentioned graffiti," the response said.
