Students who are blocking the Novi Sad faculties supported all those who were sued by the company "Starting", which was the contractor for the Railway station in Novi Sad, and assessed that it is intimidation and stifling of the voice of people who publicly point out failures during the reconstruction.
In the statement, the students reminded that the company "Starting" filed lawsuits due to damage to the company's business reputation and creditworthiness, and that among the defendants was the mother of the victim who died in the fall of the canopy at the Novi Sad railway station Diana Hrka.
Also sued are lawyer Ivan Ninić, professor Dejan Mirović, civil engineers Danijel Dašić and Zoran Đajić, architect Slobodan Maldini, architect and deputy of the Serbian People's Movement Đorđe Stanković and KRIK journalist Sofija Bogosavljev.
The students pointed out that all the defendants pointed out to the public numerous omissions during the reconstruction of the Railway Station, as well as the responsibility that the company "Starting" has as the contractor of those works.
"All those who in any way participated and contributed to the filing of these lawsuits are perpetrators and accomplices in the crime of the canopy falling, when 16 people were killed. You will not scare us with your regime lawsuits, and let what follows scare you," the students said.
