Students Faculty of Dramatic Arts have released a new video on social media inviting bikers to come forward Radio and Television of Serbia.
The video begins with the question "How will we get to freedom?" followed by the answer - "On two wheels", which alludes to bikers.
The video shows footage of bikers participating in student protests so far, accompanied by segments of the song "Snakes for the Divine" from the album of the same name by the American heavy metal band High on Fire.
Students have been blocking the buildings of Radio and Television of Serbia since April 14 at 22 p.m. with the request to announce a new competition for members of the Council of the Regulatory Body for Electronic Media (REM).
"Conversation is healing"
The President of the Committee for Culture and Information of the Parliament of Serbia, Nevena Đurić, has scheduled a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee for April 28, where it will be decided on the initiation of the procedure for nominating candidates for the election of REM Council members.
The President of the Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, stated that the session of the Parliamentary Committee was scheduled following the request of the opposition members of that Committee.
Opposition deputies in the Parliamentary Committee for Culture and Information submitted a request to hold a session of that Committee with the aim of starting a new procedure for the election of members of the REM Council, stating that in this way they are also responding to the request of the students who are protesting in front of the Radio and Television of Serbia.
Brnabić said that she is calling on students to end the blockade of RTS, that is, as she stated, to end the "terror and mistreatment of RTS workers that has been going on for more than 200 hours".
"I call for an end to the blockades, I call for talks, to stop the humiliation of people, to stop the persecution and threats. Let's get back to the conversation, the conversation is healing," said Brnabić.
