Announcement of the ombudsman Zoran Pašalić that they will initiate proceedings based on the complaints of students whose "right to education and freedom of movement are threatened" due to student blockades is actually obstruction and diverting attention from student demands, the student said Faculty of Organizational Sciences (FON) Lazar Stojakovic.
Pašalić previously announced that he initiated the procedure to control the evaluation of the legality and regularity of the work of the Ministry of Education, Sector for Higher Education, "acting on the complaints of students that they were prevented from exercising their right to education and from regularly attending faculties that were blocked by unknown persons".
"I believe that this time too they will not succeed in this exchange of theses," Stojaković said on the occasion.
Lazar Stojaković and his brother Luka became known to the general public when information from their Croatian passports was published in the media.
Stojaković stated that Pašalić did not contact him regarding that case.
"It's possible that it should have, but it didn't and it probably won't," Stojakovic said.
Lawyer Ahmed Delimeđac announced the filing of criminal charges against the media that published the personal data of the Stojaković brothers and asked for Pašalić's reaction, because, as he estimated, the rights of his clients were threatened and "the principle was set as a target for them".
"All legal possibilities will be used in order to protect personal integrity and dignity." I wouldn't deal with it anymore, because I think that we should leave everyone who intimidates and targets us aside and that my brother and I should be fully committed to the student struggle for the truth," said Stojaković.
"The most important thing for us is the support of citizens"
He said that after the publication of passport information in the media, there were no new inconveniences, but he believes that this is enough.
"In relation to the goal before us, these are too small blows." The students who block the faculties have a great responsibility," said Stojaković.
He added that he liked the assessment that students are angels of freedom the most.
"Apart from parents, there are colleagues from FON and other faculties, as well as professors." But what means the most to us is the support of citizens and people who immediately announced themselves to the public, in order to explain what we are going through," said Stojaković.
When asked about the further fate and duration of the student blockades and protests, Stojakovic answered: "We didn't start all this so we wouldn't end it, and it's good that all parties keep that in mind."
