The Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions announced that a person was detained BJ. today broke hunger strike in the Special Prison Hospital in Belgrade and that he is currently in a good general condition.
The administration states that during the strike, all medical protocols that apply to people who refuse food were applied, and the detainee was under the constant supervision of a doctor the entire time.
BJ was transferred to this facility on September 17 in the afternoon, after he decided to go on a hunger strike in the detention unit of the District Prison in Novi Sad on September 12. In his written statement at the time, he stated that the reason for that act was dissatisfaction with the work of the court.
Since the start of the strike, his vital parameters have been monitored by the doctors of the Health Care Service of the District Prison in Novi Sad, and since the transfer by the doctors of the Special Prison Hospital in Belgrade, the statement of the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions concludes.

After the arrest, a petition was created for the release of Bogdan Jovičić, a student of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, which has been signed by 64.000 citizens so far.

How it all started
Let us remind you that the student Bogdan Jovičić was arrested on August 14 in Novi Sad, on suspicion of participating in the demolition of the premises of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), and for the second time he was detained for up to 30 days.
He was on hunger strike for 13 days and due to his deteriorating health condition, he was transferred to the prison hospital of the District Prison in Belgrade in Bačvanska Street.
Bogdan's father died during his stay in custody, and he was brought to his funeral late, with handcuffs on his feet, which caused outrage from the citizens.
The Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions of the Ministry of Justice announced earlier that Jovicic attended his father's funeral handcuffed so that he would not escape, and that the Christian burial rite was thus observed.
