"It was humiliating. It was inhuman," Miletić wrote in her social media post from her hospital bed, where she is awaiting two more surgeries.
She points out that she's still trying to figure out what's worse — that she was the victim of a hate crime or that the people around her didn't show an iota of compassion. "Berlin, we have a problem. And we need to talk about it," she said in her post. The attack happened not far from her apartment.
He is awaiting two operations, the first scheduled for Thursday
Miletić tells "Vreme" that the same attacker attacked her a few months ago, but that then it was nowhere near as brutal as seven days ago.
"I know that man. I've seen him around, he attacked me once before, but I don't know who he is. Now he attacked me again, he jumped on my steering wheel while I was on a bicycle in motion. Then came the volleys of insults because I'm a foreigner," said Miletić.
She adds that it took her a week to find the strength to formulate the incident that happened to her and which resulted in a very serious injury.
"I have two more operations waiting for me, the first one is on Thursday," said Vremen's interlocutor, adding that what happened to her is a topic she has written a lot about.
"I dealt with xenophobia, hatred directed towards foreigners and was many times in a situation where I had to defend various people from such attacks, and now I found myself in such a situation," says Natalija.
