For the news that the inspectors Slobodan Milenković and Dušan Mitić, who discovered the marijuana plantation on the "Jovanjica" estate and arrested Predrag Koluvija, the owner of the estate, have been replaced, some would say that it was expected.
How is it "Time" was written, it is an open secret that the BIA is doing everything to embarrass, but also endanger the lives and careers of, the now former inspectors of the Department for Combating Drugs of the Belgrade Police, Slobodan Milenkovic and Dusan Mitić, as well as other inspectors from that department.
And their "sin" is that, according to the indictment, they exposed the largest skunk factory in Europe.
Ten days ago, Chief Milenkovic informed the authorities for the second time that he was being followed and recorded by members of the Security and Information Agency. The public learned about everything from the press release of Zdenko Tomanović, Milenkovic's legal representative.
Milenković also noticed suspicious persons and cars in his vicinity in November last year, and during the search he established that the man who followed him had BIA documents. In addition, inspectors Slobodan Milenković and Dušan Mitić informed the competent authorities almost two years ago that they had information that their liquidation was being prepared and therefore requested protection.
That liquidation was ordered from the criminals by parts of the security and secret services of Serbia.
In addition to all that, the persecution of inspectors Slobodan Milenkovic and Dusan Mitić has been going on for two years in the pro-regime media. But not only the pro-regime media, but also the highest state officials participate in it, and in the campaign proven police officers are presented as criminals, and the "Jovanjica" affair as fabricated.
Inspector Dusan Mitić said at the trial in the "Jovanjic" case that his and his colleagues' intention was to arrest the then director of the BIA, and the current police minister Bratislava Gašić and Mirko Šker (head of the Belgrade center in the BIA at the time of the discovery of Jovanjica), and that the information about their involvement in the "Jovanjica" case was of the "highest quality".
As Mitić pointed out, the head of the Fourth Department, Slobodan Milenkovic, asked the prosecutor's office to prosecute Škero and Gasić, after which frequent pressures began.
"I swear on my honor that I will speak only the truth about everything I am asked and that I will not keep silent about anything that is known to me," Inspector Dušan Mitić began his testimony before the court panel, and then exposed the scale of the biggest drug-corruption scandal that ever hit Serbia. Namely, the BIA and VOA, members of the MUP, politicians in power, the judicial elite and the regime media are involved in it.
Back in 2018, Dušan Mitić was the first to point out to his colleagues that - according to his operational knowledge - Predrag Koluvija was a drug dealer. After the arrest in 2019, tabloids and Koluvi first accused Mitic of trying to force the owner of Jovanjica to accuse members of the Serbian president's family for everything. According to "Vremen" information, it was even suggested to Mayor Slobodan Milenkovic to "let Mitić down the drain" in order to destroy the "Jovanjica" case. Since Milenkovic refused, both of them became victims of the manhunt that has been going on against them for years.
As it reminds N1, Minister Gašić, after Mitić's testimony in the Serbian Parliament, made an excuse that he only had one contact with Koluvija, who was also a donor to the BIA.
"With Predrag Koluvia, there is only one message from October, six months before the arrest, and it was clearly stated from my side, and that is: 'Congratulations on BIA Day.' Answer: 'Thank you, we will not celebrate this year,'" Gašić assured.
By the way, Coluvija's arrest did not happen six months later, but on November 13, and in 2019 BIA Day was celebrated on October 23, as evidenced by official documents.
In the days after Mitić's testimony, Minister Gašić repeatedly presented the inspectors who exposed one of the biggest criminal affairs in Serbia as criminals, who "can lie in court to justify their crime."
In the case of "Jovanjica", two court proceedings are being conducted. The first defendant in both proceedings is Predrag Koluvija. The Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime designates him in both indictments, which it filed in this case, as the organizer of a criminal group that grew marijuana.
