Patriarch Porphyry he said in a speech at the commemorative gathering at the airport "Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović" in Batajnica that each of us could have been in the place of three-year-old Milica Rakić and Colonel Pavlović, innocent victims sacrificed for the freedom of our people and for peace.
"The criminal act of NATO aggression brought us back to ourselves and to values that must not be questioned. And that is first of all Christ's commandment to 'love your neighbor' and also your enemy. Unfortunately, we know that hardly anyone among us is capable of loving their enemy, but I call on all of us to have insight into the words of Christ, not to forget them, and not to act contrary to them, which is to hate because hatred begets hatred and creates a spiral of evil," said the patriarch Porphyry.
