The leader of the Move-change movement said that his assailant was a "hard-line member of the SNS". The movement announced that another police officer of the Serbian Progressive Party physically attacked another councilor of that movement
Savo Manojlović, leader of the Move-Change movement, he was attacked on Saturday (April 12) evening in Belgrade. Manojlović was in a car with his wife and child at the time of the attack, Kreni-Promeni added.
On Sunday, April 13, he said that the attack on him and his family was based on the "sick politics of Aleksandar Vučić", and the attacker was a "hard-line member of the SNS".
"I just finished giving a statement at the Voždovac police station regarding yesterday's incident. My wife also gave a statement. It is about a physical attack and death threats. The person who attacked me is a member of the SNS. As we found out through social networks, a hard-line member of the SNS, a so-called loyalist. Behind this attack is the sick politics of Aleksandar Vučić," wrote Manojlović in a post on X.

MUP: We will investigate the attack on Sava Manojlović
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia announced that it is working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident in which the leader of the Start-Change Movement Savo Manojlović and SV participated last night in Kruševacka Street in Belgrade.
The police sent Manojlović for a medical examination, after which he was called to come to the police station to give a statement, while SV was detained at the Voždovac Police Station because his breathalyzer showed 1,55 per thousand of alcohol in his blood, so he was supposed to give a statement after sobering up.
Considering that the statements taken from the participants on the spot are contradictory, in order to determine all the circumstances of the event, the police will extract the video from the object's cameras from the scene of the event, interview the persons and witnesses and obtain injury lists, after which appropriate reports will be submitted, it was stated in the announcement.
What happened to Jovanović?
"By coincidence, I found myself here, without any marked accreditation. There was a situation in which the security guards prevented people from leaving this secured area, and at that moment, considering that it was interesting to me, I took the camera to film," Jovanović said.
As he claims, the SNS security guard approached Jovanović from behind and tried to steal his camera, which led to a physical conflict.
"He broke my stick in the meantime, but I managed to catch up with him and recover the camera," said Jovanović.
The police soon arrived at the scene of the incident, who identified the councilman, while the security guard who participated in the attack was not detained, nor was any action taken against him at that time, Jovanović said.
