The candidate for mayor of Belgrade was chosen by the "Go-change" list Savo Manojlović entered the building of the Municipality of Novi Belgrade today, because the municipality did not provide verifiers for the signatures that the movement collects for participation in the local elections on June 2.
After the incident in the Municipality, when the security tried to throw him out, Manojlović announced on the social network "X" that they had received four authenticators.
The "Kreni-promeni" movement today collected leaflets in front of the Mercator shopping center on Zoran Djindjic Boulevard, but the municipality, according to Sava Manojlović, there are no people to certify them.
Manojlovic therefore went to the building of the Municipality of New Belgrade, demanding that the problem be solved.
After he asked to speak with the president of the municipality and said that he would not leave the building until the problem of the authenticator was solved, security responded and tried to throw him out of the building, and after they failed, they called the police.
Manojlović explained to the security guards and the police officers who came to the scene that the municipal verifiers were available when Kreni-promeni was collecting petitions for the people's initiative to ban the mining of lithium and boron, and that now the municipality does not give them.
Manojlovic said that Kreni-promeni has only five more days to collect ballots for the local elections, that the municipality is, by law, obliged to provide verifiers, and he demanded that the problem be solved urgently.
The Move-change movement announced on April 24 that it would go to the elections in Belgrade independently, on June 2, and that the candidate for mayor will be Savo Manojlović.
