Who supported the strike?

The strike was supported, among others, by the expanded rector's college of the University of Belgrade, the Bar Associations of Vojvodina and Belgrade, trade unions, associations, catering establishments, dental offices, craft shops....

The students invited the citizens to take a day off from work or sick leave, but also to invite their colleagues to join them in this, and in the invitation it is suggested not to go to cafes and restaurants, not to shop in supermarkets and not to visit cinemas and theaters.

The extended Rector's College of the University of Belgrade called on employees in the University's member institutions to provide support to students by suspending work during the day, the University's website says.

The Bar Associations of Belgrade, Kragujevac and Vojvodina have decided that their members will suspend their work, that is, that lawyers will not act before courts, prosecutors' offices, the police... except in special cases.

What is the plan in Belgrade?

After that, the walk will continue past state institutions, such as the Basic Court, the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office, the Clinical Center of Vojvodina, the Institute for Public Health of Vojvodina, JKP Informatics, JP Urbanism, JKP Čistoća, Posta Srbije, Toplana Novi Sad and Elektrovojvodina, and it is expected that the walk will end by 16 p.m.

The students in Novi Sad were supported by unions of employees in public institutions, but for now there is no confirmation that they will also join the protest.

In Niš, "There is no lowering of tensions"

The students of the University of Niš are organizing a protest in support of educators called "No lowering of tensions", and the gathering will begin at 11.30:11.52 a.m. in front of the Basic Court building. The students of the University of Niš pointed out in a press release that they were "further enraged" by the information that the salary of educators will be reduced for February, or that there will not even be any, and that this is one of the reasons why they are taking to the streets on Friday and joining the general strike to which they have invited all the citizens of Niš.

A wonderful day for a walk in Kragujevac

Students from Kragujevac invited all citizens to join them in the general strike and announced the route of the protest walk in Kragujevac, emphasizing that Friday will be a wonderful day for walking.

"Support the second general strike and take to the streets!" There are no jobs, shops and cafes. We're all in this together, we're all walking for each other and supporting educators. It will be a wonderful day for a walk, see you," said the students of the Faculty of Engineering.

Three starting points are planned: in front of the Palace of Justice, the Clinical Center and from Đački trg, in front of the First Kragujevac Gymnasium.

Professors and high school students will start from Đački trg, who will go along Branko Radičević and Svetozar Marković streets to Zmaj Jovina, where they plan to join the other participants of the walk and at 11.52:XNUMX a.m. deliver mail to victims of the fall of the canopy in Novi Sad.

At the old entrance to the University Clinical Center at 11.30:XNUMX a.m. students of the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medical Sciences and Faculty of Natural Sciences will meet, while at the same time students of Law, Faculty of Economics and FILUM will gather at the Palace of Justice.

The walk should start from Uzor through the streets of the City of Sirena, then Sava Kovačević, past the School Administration, then to the Main Post Office, through the Pedestrian Zone to the Relay and Nikola Pašić and Zoran Đinđić to the City Assembly.

The rally is planned to last until 14.30:XNUMX p.m., but it was emphasized that it is possible that it will be extended.
