Referendum in Silos: Who organizes it, when and why?

Who is organizing the referendum in Silos on Saturday, June 21, and what is the referendum question

No, the meeting is not an invitation to drink in Silos, the prime place for going out in Belgrade. Already and students medicine calls for a referendum on faculty blockades.

Silos is not a collection of cafes within the Cultural Center "Silos" by the Danube Quay, but rather the Institute for Medical Statistics and Social Medicine Silos, located in Ulica Dr. Subotić Sr. on Savski Venec.

The students of the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade actually wanted to be creative on social networks and thus invite their colleagues to a referendum on further actions as part of the blockade of the faculty. So they used the name to mention a place where most of them probably wouldn't have money for a single drink.

At the referendum, the decision will be made on the continuation of the blockade and the model of returning to classes adopted by the Teaching and Research Council of this faculty. It takes place from 8 am to 20 pm.

The organizers say that the voting will be secret and invite colleagues to come in as many as possible "because every vote is important".

The large plenum on the referendum will be held on Thursday, June 19 at 18 p.m. The address is the same - Silos. And again, not the one on the Danube.

The blockades continue.

Colleges across the country are on lockdown, although most have introduced online classes. There are no precise data on how many students participate in this form of teaching.

Students in the blockade of the Belgrade Faculty of Organizational Sciences announced on June 18 that they are entering a total blockade because the administration of that faculty made a decision on the implementation of exam and pre-exam activities.

Colleagues from Political Sciences are also under blockade, and on June 17, it was reported on FPN that a bomb had been planted. After inspecting the building, the police did not find anything, and the students said that no one would intimidate them.

At the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, students vote for three days on whether or not they should participate in online classes.

Students from the Faculty of Electronics in Nis also voted in a referendum to continue the blockade of that higher education institution, the Informal Group of Students of the University of Nis announced on June 19. The announcement stated that 885 students took part in the referendum, and 713 of them, or 80,56, declared for the continuation of the blockade.

The only faculty in Niš where the blockade has been suspended for now is the Faculty of Medicine, writes Beta.

Order of Vojë Sešelj with a baseball bat

Just as Šešelj pulled a gun on the students at the beginning of the nineties, so Vučić pulls his beaters on their rebellious daughters and sons today. It's the same policy, just adapted to the times

Trample and break the damned "blockades", says the president

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, acquits thugs and madmen who beat and trample students, while arresting those same students. A people in rebellion is no longer guaranteed a bare life - but the guild will pay for this regime in the end
