Student Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, Teodora Gardović, who is detained on Tuesday in a city bus, was released on Wednesday (20 August) after a hearing in the Palace of Justice.
Teodora Gardović, after hearing from the prosecutor accompanied by a lawyer, told reporters that she received a misdemeanor charge for breaking into the premises of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in Cvijićeva Street on Monday evening.
"I hope that the epilogue of the hearing will not be terrible, since the prosecutor at the hearing filed a misdemeanor charge for vandalizing the premises of SNS instead of a criminal one. I don't expect anything terrible, because I didn't use oysters or firecrackers, but only a bottle of water," said Teodora Gardović.
She said that she had no objection to the actions of the police at the station in Despota Stefana Street and that she was grateful to the lawyer who was with her, since she had no experience of being brought to the police.
"It should be experienced and everyone should do their 24 to 48 hours," said Teodora Gardović.
She stated that the police officers took her out of the city transport bus 511 towards Sremčica and took her to the police station.
In front of the Palace of Justice, Teodora Gardović was greeted with a standing ovation by her family, friends and fellow students.
"This case will not stop me from continuing to fight. It's over, people," said Teodora Gardovic.
