"They call us fighters for democracy fascist bandits," said the students
At a protest in front of police station Novi Beograd called and studentsdue to the arrest of their colleagues because of the events in Student City, when Miloš Pavlović, a student "who wants to study" was attacked and thrown with cans and sprayed with water and beer.
The whereabouts of the detained young men is still unclear, and those gathered assume that they are here because this station is the closest to Student City, N1 reported.
There are plainclothes police officers in front of the station.
A young man spoke through a megaphone. As he said, the suspects will be questioned at the Third Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.
"We will not let them arrest us. This is our most important fight for our country. Pump," he said.
"They call us fighters for democracy fascist bandits"
The students said that they expect a larger number of students to come.
One of the students told N1 that his colleague was dragged out of the dormitory by police inspectors in the afternoon, telling him that they were taking him for an information interview.
"We assume he was taken to PS Novi Beograd. We came here to support him, but then the head of PS NBG told us that he is not here and that they do not have a record of his arrival here. At the same moment, the regime media let it be known that he was arrested and called us fighters for democracy fascist bandits. This is not the right way for this to happen and this must stop. We are on the right path and we are fighting for democracy and we will stay there," he told N1.
He added that the students will remain in front of the police station until they receive information about their colleague's whereabouts.
