At the protest on the occasion tragedies na Novi Sad railway station, a request was made for the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Goran Vesić, to resign. If this does not happen, it was stated that on Tuesday, November 5, a "much more radical" protest will be held in Novi Sad.
The protest started at 11.55:XNUMX a.m. on Sava square in Belgrade, in front of the building of the former main railway station. The protest began with a minute of silence and the reading of the names of the victims. More than a thousand people gathered, many of them crying.
The loudspeaker said: "These people were killed by the regime."
A request was made that the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Goran Vesić, resign. It is said that the degree of radicality of the protests, which will continue on Tuesday in Novi Sad, will depend on this.
A dozen plainclothes police officers, unmistakably dressed in jeans and with purses around the citizens' waists, watch over the crowd, and around a hundred uniformed policemen are present at the Government of Serbia and the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.
"I'm here to support the canopy that has towered over the whole of Serbia with my spine," General Secretary of the Social Democratic Party Dragoslav Ljubičić told "Vreme".
Representatives of the Green-Left Front, former basketball player Vladimir Štimac, director Goran Marković and caricaturist Dušan Petričić came to the protest.
After the protest walk, the citizens stopped in front of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure and shouted: "Murderers, murderers!" and "Rabbit, prisoner!". Then they threw red paint towards the building of that ministry.
Activists asked each policeman in the cordon in front of the Ministry by name if he had anything to say, if they had children and why the government did not arrest them.

Previously, activist Nikola Ristić from the SviĆe group was detained on Sunday morning at Savski Square, where, before the start of the protest, he met with other activists.
Ristic's lawyer Marko Pantić confirmed for "Vreme" that he was taken into custody, but that he does not yet know on what grounds.
As "Vreme" learns, Ristić told the police that the paint was ready for whitewashing his apartment, and the police said that then they had to talk about whitewashing at the station.
At the end of the protest, it was announced that Ristic was released.
