Speaking on the square in Niš, Dr. Dragan Milić said that the battle was completely unequal and declared the victory of the opposition in this city.
"From tonight, the invisible hand of Belgrade will never rule our city again, Nišlje will wonder what and who," he said.
He stated that a brutal campaign against him and Đorđe Stanković from Biramo Niš had been going on for several months. "There is a target on our foreheads, there are rumors that we are CIA agents," he said.
He said that their only interest is their city and that there is no guessing. "Since it has been said many times that we are someone's Trojan horse, this time I declare - there will be no cooperation with SNS", he added.
He stated that Niš is looking to be a better, more decent place. "Don't play with the will of Nishli." They defeated all Nišlje and Nišlje because they wanted freedom and it came".
Đorđe Stanković from the National Movement of Serbia said that this is the beginning of the SNS going down in history and that Niš will get a new local government.
"We ran a fair campaign in which we showed our qualities and gained these positions with them." Despite the pressures, corruption and dirty campaign, we are on the threshold of victory. "Imagine what would have happened if the elections were fair," said Stankovic in his address to Nišlije.
He concluded that the opposition parties now have a big job to do, and that is to justify the trust of the citizens.
Vladimir Stanimirović, the holder of the list of the Start-change movement in Niš, said that after 12 years, Niš is free again and said that this movement has no intention of forming any kind of coalition with the ruling party.
