The first basic public prosecutor's office in Belgrade announced on Monday (March 10) that the suspect MT (39) admitted that attacked Minister of Culture of Serbia Nikola Selaković.
The suspect's defense attorney proposed that the public prosecutor and the defendant conclude an agreement on the recognition of the criminal offense for a prison sentence of six months and that it be determined that it will not be carried out if the convicted person does not commit a new criminal offense within two years, announced the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office.
After the negotiations, the public prosecutor, as stated, concluded an agreement with MT on the recognition of the criminal offense by which the court declares the defendant guilty of committing the criminal offense of "endangering security", and that the defendant be sentenced to one year in prison and at the same time determines that it will not be carried out if the convicted person does not commit a new criminal offense within four years.
Bearing in mind that, according to the allegations of the criminal complaint, MT Nikola Selaković, in addition to threats, curses and insults, struck him with his hand in the area of the face and thereby inflicted minor physical injuries, the Prosecutor's Office considers that the defendant also committed the criminal offense of "mild bodily injury" for which prosecution is undertaken in a private lawsuit submitted to the competent court, it was stated in the statement.
Minister of Culture Nikola Selaković he was attacked on Friday night (March 7) in front of the building where his parents live in Belgrade.
