Lawyer and former Minister of the Interior Bozo Prelevic he estimated for "Vreme" that re-arrest and detention of former provincial official Goran Ješić and city councilor in Novi Sad Mišo Bačulov a consequence of the government's direct interference in the work of the prosecution. He has knowledge that one of those who first arrested Ješić is not a policeman.
"Prosecutors, who were otherwise against re-ordering custody of Ješić and Bačulov, because they see what it's all about, had to comply with the binding instructions they received from the authorities in accordance with the law." Therefore, the public prosecutor received a detention order and passed it on. This was done because the government is afraid, so it resorted to intimidation so that no one would schedule protests tomorrow. If we hadn't seen the live arrest of Ješić on the N1, and what the circumstances were, maybe they could talk about something. This way, what the brave prosecutor Jasmina Paunović says - it was more like a kidnapping," says Prelevic.
He says that viewers who watched the arrest may notice that the police officer who did not show his ID "looks more like some unfortunate person disfigured by textiles than a police officer."
"I have information that he is not a policeman." That the one who is disfigured by textiles is not a policeman. My knowledge is like that. The other one who was legitimized was, but this one was not. And Goran Ješić pushed him, not the one who registered," Prelevic emphasizes.

"The government is against the citizens"
He reminds that police officers wear uniforms precisely to legitimize themselves in public.
"According to the Law on Police, and I wrote a significant part of that law, there are no such unfortunates with masks and hoods." When you look at the residents of Novi Sad, I have not seen any normal person wearing a mask, cap and hood at 15 degrees. "It is really difficult to assume that this is an armed member of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," states Prelevic.
When asked what citizens should do in such situations, he answers that it is not easy to answer such a thing.
"We have two problems. The first, that the law does not apply here, because if the law did apply, it would not be done that way. The police officer is obliged to show identification. He is obliged to warn someone, obliged to tell him where he is being taken, and that young man Relja Stanojević was not even told where he was being taken. To make things clearer - Stanojević's girlfriend is a student at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, which announced that their student was injured by masked persons. Therefore, he did not say anything incorrect when he said that he did not know who the people were who were dragging him along the street and that he did not know where they were taking him," Prelevic points out.
The degree of state repression
Another problem is how to position oneself in such a situation.
"It's hard to say what to do when you don't have the law and legal action in front of you, but illegal action." "The law recognizes self-help, that is, when you do not know that it is an arrest by the police, you have the right to use force and to defend yourself from such an attack, until the moment someone is legitimized," notes the "Vremena" interlocutor.
He also reminds that Goran Ješić's behavior before and after legitimization was completely endearing.
"I think that Goran Ješić is someone who should be arrested as an example, not for the sake of the rule of law." We are now at the level of the government's fear of the citizens who left their sovereignty to them in the elections. According to the Constitution, the citizens, not the government, have sovereignty in this country. It derives its sovereignty, including the method of arrest, from what the citizens gave it. And that is very important, because we have come to a situation where the government is against the citizens, against those who voted for it," underlines Prelevic.

"Citizens trapped in a cage between a usurping government and an incompetent opposition"
He notes that the bottom line is that the government uses power to use force against those who have transferred sovereignty to it in order to protect its own theft.
Speaking about the announced protests, he says that "citizens are trapped in a cage between a usurping government and an incompetent opposition."
"For three years now, I have been saying that the problem for us is the usurpation of power and the absence of an adequate alternative from the other side." We have 'Pro Glas', which everyone clings to as hope. And I think that what happened to the 'Assembly of Free Serbia' will also happen to the 'Proclamation' - that it will be killed by some of its members," said Prelevic.
The opposition has been unable to bring about any changes for many years, which is why we are in a "canned state".
"And now we have protests in Novi Sad where you have no opposition. How is that? Something is not logical."
Vučić will go more offensive against the media that are not under his control
"I also have information that this (Aleksandar Vučić) will go to the media. The more his power is threatened, the harsher he will be towards them and towards the critical media. I also know that he is planning to buy some opposition-oriented electronic media. There was talk about the Hungarians, and now about the Arabs, who want to buy shares of the fund that make up the majority of their ownership structure. And he will not hesitate to offer some journalists a 500 euro higher salary in order to win them over to his side,'' Prelevic said.
He points out that the president of Serbia will not stop at the purchase of electronic media that are not under his control in establishing complete power.
"I know that 'Vreme' has been strangling for 10 years, and it won't stop. He wants to create an army of faceless journalists," says our interlocutor.
Prelevic sees Vučić's attack on intellectuals as the last stage in the establishment of complete domination of the government in Serbia in an effort to "subjugate them in the same way as journalists - to be impersonal."
If he succeeds, he will complete his rule and deprive the citizens of Serbia of their future.
