The head of the Police Administration in Novi Sad, Goran Radonjić, was dismissed from that position today (May 22), Danas unofficially learns from a source from the MUP
The change occurred due to the intervention of the police against supporters of the Serbian Progressive Party in front of the party's premises on the Boulevard of Liberation on Sunday, reported Danas.
The police then intervened with truncheons against SNS activists after they repeatedly threw eggs and plastic bottles at citizens demonstrating in front of that party's premises.

Insults and physical attacks marked a tense atmosphere in front of the premises of the Serbian Progressive Party in Novi Sad on Sunday (May 18), where citizens gathered to protest the detention of six activists.
On several occasions, eggs flew, and progressive activists also threw white paint at citizens. A police cordon separated them, and at one point they used batons - against SNS activists.
