There are videos on portals and YouTube showing scenes from July last year. The smiling Prime Minister of Vojvodina Maja Gojković with the equally smiling Minister Goran Vesić and others, opens the ceremony The railway station in Novi Sad.
However, "Vreme" now finds out that the above photo, as evidence of Maja Gojković's participation in the ceremony, was Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad excluded from the evidence.
This is significant because it is precisely Vesic, former Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, with the indictment from December charges because he "personally attended the opening of lobby B", the part of the station where the canopy collapsed.
And that he enabled "commissioning and use of the lobby of wing B and the space in front of the entrance to the lobby of wing B of the railway station building in Novi Sad", thereby causing danger to the life and limb of passengers and other persons.
The photo, as well as previously published videos, show that Vesić, in the cage, together with the former mayor of Novi Sad Milan Đurić, and two defendants in the carport case, Jelena Tanasković i Anita Dimoski, welcomes Maja Gojković as the highest state official who should officially open the station.
They are all under the canopy that collapsed four months later, killing fifteen people.
However, the indictment somehow bypassed the President of the Government of Vojvodina.
The station is safe, excellent cooperation with contractors
During the opening of the station, Gojković said that traveling from this station is safe and complimented "all of us who participated in this project".
She praised the excellent cooperation of contractors and designers with the cultural protection institutes of Vojvodina and Novi Sad.
Later it turned out, as engineer Zoran Đajić said, that one of the possible causes of the fall of the canopy was precisely the additional load on the canopy by the contractor on the building, which is a cultural monument.
The senior public prosecutor in Novi Sad, Branislav Lepotić, did not call Maja Gojković in the pre-investigation procedure, not even as a witness.
The station had a license for trial operation
At the moment when Gojković opened the railway station, the facility had a permit for trial operation. It turns out – counterfeit.
It is "Vreme" published recently, when the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade issued an arrest warrant for several persons who signed a certificate of technical examination approving probationary work.
According to the law, the permit for trial work replaces the use permit for a period of one year.
Although forged, this license produced legal force. "Vreme" had insight into several decisions confirming that Elektromreže Srbije, referring to this permit, issued a decision to connect the Railway Station in Novi Sad to electricity.
Dolovac requests that the case be handled by another prosecutor's office
Supreme Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac she requested that another authority take over further proceedings in the canopy case, which is being conducted against five persons by the Belgrade Higher Public Prosecutor's Office.
The fact that the Supreme Prosecutor's Office is de facto withdrawing the VJT case in Belgrade shows that there is a conflict in the prosecutor's organization.
The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade and the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad, which according to "Vremena" sources are completely under the control of Dolovac, are looking for the culprits in the fall of the canopy in Novi Sad in different places.
