Former Prime Minister of Serbia Zoran Živković he stated for N1 that the democratic opposition should define by January 15 "what will he do", and he proposes the formation of a new party or coalition that would take responsibility not only for defeating Aleksandar Vučić, but also for implementing the necessary reforms, reports FoNet.
"Since the students have been giving their energy, health, intelligence and courage for a long time, it should be accelerated and January 15 should be set as the day when the opposition must define what it will do," emphasized Živković.
He said that he conveyed his idea to the people who lead the Democratic Party, the People's Movement of Serbia, Move - Change, but he believes that the Greens (Green - Left Front) should also participate in this.
"It's the best option." An alternative option is that, if they think that it is not good to create a big party, to form a coalition with the same members and take responsibility, not only to defeat Vučić, but also to implement the necessary reforms, which have been slowed down since 2004, and since 2012. completely interrupted", states Živković.
He points out that this coalition should win the elections and adds that he should then devote his entire mandate to Serbia being cured of the disease it has been suffering from for a long time and to become a serious country as well as a beautiful country.
Shadow government
"The coalition or the new party", continues Živković, should present a shadow government made up of concrete names; that this government has about twenty positions in the ministries; that there should be four or five politicians - the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense, the Minister of the Interior, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and that all of them should be experts in the areas for which they will be responsible.
"Future leadership - initially shadow leadership, should be created for at least thirty cities and municipalities in Serbia," says the former prime minister.
He further explains that it should be defined who the opposition proposes as the president of the municipality, for the mayor and for the members of the executive board who have special portfolios. "This creates a large team of people who have the opportunity to show the sincerity and effectiveness of their political position, but also to guarantee through personal responsibility that by winning the elections, changes will begin that will be completed and that will finally put Serbia where it belongs, and that is Serbia in Europe."
He pointed out that there should also be a place for people from ProGlas. "Vučić will never give normal election conditions, but that does not mean that he cannot be defeated." We defeated Milosevic twice in 1996 and 2000, regardless of the fact that the election conditions were disastrous. When the opposition organizes itself well, it can be overcome", concluded former Prime Minister Živković.
