Three activists from Novi Sad who were accused of an alleged attempt to subvert the constitutional order, were released from prison on Wednesday and sentenced to house arrest custody with electronic monitoring.
They are activists Mladen Cvijetić, Srđan Đurić and Davor Stefanović from the Free Citizens Movement, reports Danas.
That decision was published on the Portal of the Courts of Serbia.
Students in front of the court in Novi Sad shout "victory" after the news that the remaining three activists were released from prison custody and that they were placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring.
"Whoever finds himself in your place, we will fight for everyone. All together until the end, the blockade of the court is over," said one student in front of the court, writes N1.
"Now we have proved that we can do everything, that we can do the impossible," said one student.
He added that "whoever is illegally deprived of liberty, we will return and we will not give any of us."
Students agreed that the blockade of the faculty continues.
Six activists of the Movement of Free Citizens and the organization Students Against Authoritarian Government (STAV) were in custody for more than two months, accused of attempting to overthrow the constitutional order due to the alleged planning of an invasion of the Serbian Parliament and the Serbian Radio and Television, but earlier this month the Court of Appeal in Novi Sad replaced the detention for the first three activists with house arrest, while the decision on Cvijetić, Đurić and Stefanović was sent back for a new decision.
