More vehicles Gendarmerie intended to break up demonstrations and suppress gathered citizens was observed today, October 25, in the center Belgrade, and part of them is located in front of the main entrance to the building of the City of Belgrade Assembly, near Pionirski Park, reports "Vremena" reporters.
A part of the gendarmerie headed towards Radio and Television of Serbia.
The vehicles were also filmed at the intersection of Kneza Miloša and Kralja Milan streets, near London, from where they headed towards Terazije. According to the available information, they passed through the police blockade, due to which the traffic in Kneza Miloša Street was stopped.
N1 readers reported that earlier today a column of about 20 Gendarmerie vehicles was spotted on the Belgrade-Nis highway moving in the direction of Belgrade.
Similar vehicles were used during the protests in Novi Sad in the summer of 2025, when members of the Gendarmerie used them to push protesters off the boulevards and wide city streets.
Kralja Milan Street is blocked all day and reporters with accreditations are not allowed to reach the old Assembly building where the Republican Election Commission is located.
