NBS suspends payment transactions with NIS if the oil company does not receive a business license

National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announced on Tuesday (November 25) that, if The oil industry of Serbia (NIS) to does not receive a business license within the stipulated period, suspend payment transactions with that company.

According to the NBS, this measure is in line with the announcement of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the aim is to preserve the stability of the domestic financial system and enable the smooth functioning of payment transactions in the country.

As stated in the statement signed by the governor's cabinet, the NBS will not allow the stability of the financial system to be threatened.
