U Novi Sad six people were arrested on Friday (August 15) who are suspected of attacking Kobra members during protest on Wednesday.
They are charged with attempted murder, lawyer Marko Klipa, who defends one of the suspects, told Danas.
On Friday, they were invited to an informative interview as citizens, but in the end they were suspected.
They were detained for up to 48 hours, reports 021.rs.
According to this media, the lawyers of the arrested were not allowed to contact them all day yesterday and they did not know why their clients were detained, and in what capacity the police held them for more than 12 hours without the right to a lawyer.
Pulling a gun
Director of the Military Security Agency (VBA), Lieutenant General Đuro Jovanić, said that seven members of the Serbian Armed Forces were injured on Wednesday in Novi Sad.
According to Defense Minister Bratislava Gašić, the members of "Cobra" were in Novi Sad on the task of securing a protected person.
One of them, ensign Vladimir Brkušanin, then drew his gun.
The opposition in Novi Sad condemned the use of service weapons by the Serbian Army against citizens in Novi Sad and requested an urgent investigation into this event.
