Milan Radoičić admitted that he was in Banjska on Sunday. He took full responsibility for the events in the village of Banjska in the north of Kosovo, according to a statement read to the media by his lawyer, Goran Petronijević.
Radoičić, through his proxy, lawyer Goran Petronijević, informed the public that together with his compatriots from the north of Kosovo, he came to the area of the village of Banjska on September 24.
"The reason for our return was to encourage the Serbian people to resist the terror of Kurti's regime, to protect our people who were subjected to that terror every day, and to realize the dream of my people's freedom in the north of Kosovo and Metohija," read Petronijević.
He says that Radoičić made all the logistical preparations "for the defense of our people against the occupiers", and that the act had nothing to do with earlier political activities, and that he did not inform anyone from the authorities of the Republic of Serbia, nor the local political structures from the north of Kosovo. He notes that he did not have any help from them, because there were already differences in the way of resisting "Kurti's terror".
He took responsibility for everything and stated that he was resigning from the position of vice-president of the Serbian List.
Radoičić does not hide
After reading the statement, Goran Petronijević, answering the journalists' questions, said that Radoičić is not hiding, but that he will be available to the Serbian authorities if necessary. reports KoSSev.
"Maybe I know, maybe he doesn't know where he is." I'm protected by attorney privilege and I won't tell you where he is, unless he's hiding - he's not hiding. He is available to the authorities and as you could see, he will respond to the call," he said.
He also denied claims that Radoičić was wounded or injured, that is, that he was at the VMA.
Although he says that Radoičić is ready to respond to the invitation of the Serbian authorities, when asked whether such an invitation has arrived, Petrnijević says that he believes that no authority "should ask him questions", reported KoSSev.
He explained his thesis by saying that "KiM is an integral part of Serbia, and that there are special units in the North that cannot stay there", and that Radoičić decided to take matters into his own hands.
"If anyone was illegally armed in the North of Kosovo and Metohija, it was Kurti's police units and, according to some information, some other units that can be considered paramilitary formations," he said.
There is no responsibility
He says that on the part of Radoičić and others who were part of the group, "there is no responsibility in undertaking these activities, preparations and the act he did".
"I believe that they came to their country, their home, to prevent further terror that is evident, that we are all facing," added Petronijević.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Dželjalj Svečlja, published a video from a drone during a police operation in Banjska, which, it is claimed, shows the vice-president of the Serbian List, Milan Radoičić.
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, also stated that Radoičić resigned from the post of vice-president of the Serbian List.
