Maja Kovačević, acting dean Faculty of Political Sciences (FPN) was proposed for the dean of that faculty, at the repeated vote of the Teaching and Research Council ordered by the educational inspection.
"Danas" writes that 92 of the 94 present members of the Council voted for new.
The quorum was 74 votes.
The selection of Maja Kovačević now needs to be confirmed by the Council of the FPN, since by law the Council elects the dean, according to "Danas".
Dean, c. d, then dean again
Maja Kovačević was elected dean of FPN in February 2025.
More than a year later, the educational inspectorate ordered a repeat vote for dean, so on March 3, 2026, Kovačević was appointed acting dean by decision of the Faculty Council.
"The request for a repeated vote is a form of pressure on the faculty, but we will resist that pressure," Kovačević told "Vreme" at the time.
On March 12, the teaching-scientific council voted her again as dean.
