Extraordinary parliamentary elections are held on Kosovo, and the polling stations are open until 19:00 and slightly more than two million citizens have the right to vote.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kosovo announced that 3,04 percent of registered voters, or 59.619, had voted in the extraordinary parliamentary elections by 10 a.m., based on data from 97,4 percent of polling stations.
This is slightly more than the number of citizens who voted at the same time in the previous extraordinary parliamentary elections in December last year (2,68 percent), CEC data show.
According to local media, the opening of polling stations took place in accordance with the procedure.
A total of 21 political entities are participating in the elections - three coalitions, 17 political parties and one independent candidate.
Of the 120 seats in the Assembly of Kosovo, Albanian parties are in the running for one hundred mandates, while ten are reserved for the Serbian community and ten for representatives of other minorities (Roma, Ashkali, Egyptians, Bosniaks, Turks and Gorans).
From the parties from the Serbian community, Srpska lista and Za sloboda, pravda i ostanka are competing.
Citizens and supporters of the Serbian List traditionally gather at the town square and in front of the premises of that party in North Mitrovica, reports KoSSev.
According to the order determined by the Central Election Commission (CEC), on the ballots are: PSA, New Democratic Initiative of Kosovo IRDK, Democratic Alliance of Kosovo, United Mountain Party, Social Democratic Union, Self-Determination, KNRP, New Democratic Party, Serbian List, independent candidate Esmir Kasi, United Ashkali, Turkish Democratic Party of Kosovo KDTP, Progressive Movement of Kosovo Roma, Fjala Party, Democratic Party of Kosovo, Vakat Coalition, Party for Freedom and Justice and survival, Alliance, Social Democratic Party, United Roma Party of Kosovo, Egyptian Liberal Party.

Out of a total of slightly more than two million voters, 1.959.962 of them will be able to vote at polling stations within Kosovo, while 132.212 citizens are registered to vote abroad, of which 27.724 are registered to vote in person at diplomatic missions.
According to the latest CEC data, voting ended on Saturday in 30 diplomatic missions in European countries and in the United States of America and Canada, and the turnout was 80,85 percent.
According to the procedure, the ballots will not be counted in diplomatic missions, but will be brought to Kosovo.
The election process will be monitored by around 16.600 accredited observers - representatives of political subjects, non-governmental organizations, media, international organizations and diplomatic missions.
