The average price of electricity for households in the European Union in the first half of 2023 was 28,9 euros per 100 kilowatt hours, which is an increase compared to the same period last year when the price of electricity for households was 25,3 euros per 100 kilowatt hours , it says New Economy.
The average price of electricity in the EU per kilowatt hour for households in the first half of this year was 0.2890 euros (which is about 33,86 dinars), while on the other hand, electricity prices for households in Serbia from January 1 to May 1 cost 12,40 8,796 dinars per kilowatt hour with taxes and fees (or XNUMX dinars without taxes and fees).
In the meantime, the price of electricity in Serbia has risen, so that from May 1 to November 1 this year it was 13,31 dinars per kilowatt hour with taxes and fees (or 9,50 dinars without taxes and fees). From November 1, electricity for households will cost 14,29 dinars per kilowatt hour with taxes and fees, or 10,26 dinars without taxes and fees.
In the European Union, average gas prices also increased compared to the same period in 2022, from 8,6 euros per 100 kilowatt hours (in the first half of 2022) to 11,9 euros per 100 kilowatt hours in the first half of 2023.
From January 1 to May 1, the price of natural gas for households in Serbia was 4,50 dinars per kilowatt hour with taxes and fees, or 4,08 dinars without taxes and fees.
After that, the price of gas increased, and as of May 1, it costs 4,55 dinars per kilowatt hour with taxes and fees (4,13 dinars without taxes and fees).
From November 1, the price of gas in Serbia will cost 5,02 dinars per kilowatt hour with taxes and fees (4,54 dinars without taxes and fees).
Eurostat states that, after the sharp increase that occurred in the second part of 2022, electricity and gas prices are stabilizing.
The prices of energy products increased due to the increase in the price of natural gas, which occurred due to the decrease in imports from Russia (due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine) and the search for other importers.
