"Freedom moves from the east" protest in Zaječar
The protest in Zaječar is planned to last until eight minutes after midnight
The exchange of "statements" by students of different faculties shows that the entire protest movement can reach a dead end if the students are not able to come to an agreement among themselves.
Student complete are arranged so that they can only participate in them and students. Except when the Informer infiltrates the Progressives to the plenum and then announced that "terrorist" plans were being hatched there.
There are no recordings from the plenum, there are no journalists there. And so far, the students have mostly managed to leave an impression of unity - after heated debates among themselves. What was released to the public was carefully worded.
But it is an open secret in the bazaar that the plenums of different faculties have different ideas about where to lead the rebellion.
Faster announcement
The differences came to the surface on Monday (April 7) when the blockaded students from the Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy published a statement at around 19:XNUMX p.m. - obviously in order to preempt their colleagues from Novi Sad.
The plenary session of the Faculty of Philosophy rejects the proposal of the "expert government" and states that the announcement is made due to "the possibility that the student movement in Serbia will make a series of unambiguously ill-considered decisions".
They say that students should not allow the movement to be manipulated "by those who want to grab political positions through the students' backs".

They accuse the government of ignoring the student demands by appointing the "expert" Đur Mazut as the mandate holder, but also the opposition and activist groups of wanting their version of an expert government behind the backs of the students and without a democratic discussion.
Such a government, they add, cultivates a "cult" of experts, and it cannot lead anywhere anyway, because the ruling majority in the Assembly would have to vote for it.
And finally, Filozofski students directly accuse unnamed fellow students of pushing the option of an expert government without discussion at the "small door of secret meetings".
Second announcement
Who were they thinking of, it became clear a little after 22 p.m. when the announcement of the students of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Novi Sad arrived, signed by students in the blockade of fifteen other faculties and colleges in Vojvodina.
They write that the authorities will obviously not fulfill the students' demands, and therefore conclude that an expert government is the only solution.
"Since the students have been demanding systemic changes from the beginning and insisting on non-partisanship, we believe that the government with independent experts is the most appropriate solution to the current political crisis," they say.

They then react to the previous statement of the students of the Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy because they state that they are "proud" that there is a plurality of opinions among the students and that not all plenums come to the same conclusion.
"Thus, we clearly show that we are not a product of external influences, that we do not follow anyone's instructions, but that we make decisions independently, through transparent and democratic processes," the announcement reads.
They conclude that the task of that theoretical expert government would be to facilitate the work of institutions, especially judicial ones, which would lead to the fulfillment of student demands.
In that announcement, there is no mention of organizing fair and free elections.
Public clash
This is not the first time that there has been some kind of public fight between different plenums of students in the blockade. Many people in Belgrade, for example, were furious because the people of Novi Sad chose some speakers at the protest on February 1.
But now the disagreements are visible. If political logic can be found in them and more than mutual jokes, then it seems that the students of the Belgrade Philosopher's College act from the position of the radical left, while the students from Vojvodina stick more to realpolitik.
Although they too, at least publicly, run away from politicians in a wide circle. This kind of bickering - where insults and insults are made, but hardly anyone is named - is irresistibly reminiscent of the communication of the fragmented opposition before and after the (un)boycott of part of the local elections last year.
But they emphasize something else - the student rebellion, which has grown into a nationwide one, threatens to reach a dead end without a consensus on where to go next.
A year in college can hardly be compensated, and the fact that the vast majority of teachers have returned to work in secondary and elementary schools, because they cannot live without a salary, shows that time is an important factor.
Spectacular actions still exist, like a student tour to Strasbourg. However, the protest continues to threaten to be reduced to repetitions of what has already been seen - say on Saturday (April 12) in Novi Pazar - without great prospects of reaching the mass of the historic rally in Belgrade from March 15.
If the movement dies like this, it will be without a major attempt to bring all those critical of the authorities to the table and to think the rebellion through and bring it to an end.
And one new request
While colleagues were fighting on social networks, the joint account of Students in Blockade also published sixth request which has nothing to do with all this.
They are demanding resignations from the Clinical Center, as well as to find out how Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, with a dozen cameras, was able to enter the intensive care unit where the seriously injured in the recent fire in Kočani were treated.

Official and common student demands thus remain those that could be subsumed under the label "that the institutions do their job". But the fact that they are not and will never "do their job" under this government remains an unsolvable problem for the entire student movement.
The protest in Zaječar is planned to last until eight minutes after midnight
Irish journalist Chey Bowes recorded the first part of a documentary called "War from the Shadows", which deals with the influence of foreign powers that are brokering Serbia and allegedly leading a "color revolution". Who does this man who lives in Moscow and is referred to as "Informer" actually work for?
Two weeks before the local elections in Zaječar, an all-day student protest will be held in that city. And the government is aware of the importance of the upcoming elections, because it has been sending heavyweights from the very top of the Serbian Progressive Party to the field for some time
The scattered assembly was formed by people who have been living abroad for years, even decades, and are successful in their fields of work. In addition to money, they try to send good ideas and help students as best they can
While the government is planning the preparation of a new Law on Higher Education, the academic community is responding by taking to the streets and protesting. The protest "Let's defend the universities" was held on Friday (May 23) in front of the Government of Serbia, and the organizers, among other things, requested the announcement of elections
