Car of the director of the PIO fund Relja Ognjenović, which is owned by his mother, burned down in the night between Sunday and Monday, and the fire was reported to the police by his wife, reports Nova.
As the portal writes, Ognjenović and his wife made statements regarding this event, and the director of the PIO fund said that it was the car that his wife normally uses.
What does the prosecution say?
From the Second Primary Public prosecutor's office in Belgrade for A new one it is confirmed that they have been informed about the reported event.
"We were informed about the event of December 15, 2025, which took place in Belgrade, GO Voždovac, Stojana Ljubića Street, and the prosecutor on duty ordered the police to take measures to determine all the circumstances of the aforementioned case, after which a decision on further action will be made after establishing all the facts related to the aforementioned event," the prosecution stated.
According to Nova's information, statements were made to the police by Relja Ognjenović and his wife, who said that they heard something like an explosion and then saw their car on fire through the apartment window. As it was unofficially said, Ognjenović stated that for now he does not know if someone would want to harm them, nor who it could be.
The security cameras, as confirmed for Nova, show a man dousing the vehicle with gasoline and setting it on fire, and nothing was left of the luxury car worth around 100.000 euros.
Who is Relja Ognjenović?
Ognjenović was appointed director of the PIO fund at the end of 2022, at the age of 32. He has a degree in physiotherapist and graduated from the University of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship, and during this year, he was also seen in Ćaciland with a phantom girl. He is a member of the Serbian Progressive Party.
