The Zajedno party is currently the only one that has responded positively to today's call to the opposition by Sava Manojlović, the leader of the "Go - change" movement, to return the mandates from the Belgrade City Assembly, Niš, the Municipality of Novi Belgrade, as well as from the republican parliament due to election manipulations.
The Zajedno party announced today that it does not recognize the results of the June elections because "the elections must be free or there must be none" and called on the opposition parties to leave the republican parliament and all local assemblies and join the "universal civil resistance".
The statement says that the party did not even recognize the results of the December elections.
"We gave up our mandate in the National Assembly for the sake of the unity of the opposition and the strengthening of the fight against the mafia, we did not enter the parliamentary benches at the bar after the December theft." We are the only party that refused to participate in the June 2 elections in any municipality in Serbia."
Aleksandar Jovanović Ćuta from the Ecological Movement did not say whether he would support the leader of "Start the Change", but he pointed out that Manojlović had to "have a conversation with his colleagues from the opposition, and not send an invitation through the media".
Other opposition parties are not ready to accept Manojlović's proposal for now.
The president of the Democratic Party, Zoran Lutovac, believes that the return of the mandate could be a defense of the electoral will if everyone in the coalition stood behind it and if there was credible pressure.
Branimir Nestorović's movement "We are the strength of the people" believes that civil disobedience would be a good decision until "all legal options and appeal procedures" are exhausted.
Today before noon, Savo Manojlović from Niš said:
"I would like to emphasize that the downfall of Slobodan Milosevic also began with an attempt to steal the election victory in Nis." I would like to mention that this victory in Nis happened in conditions where on the one hand you did not have one party, but 10, 15 that have been in power for 12 years. We from Belgrade did not come to determine the fate of Nis, but we came to support Nis. We believe that when anyone, in some part of the country, tries to steal someone's election victory, the whole of Serbia should support the one who was stolen," Manojlović said.
He added that rewriting the electoral will is a red line between dictatorship and autocracy.
"If we allow rewriting of the minutes in Nis, it means that we will never have any free elections." The only way to stop this is to completely delegitimize the Assembly, that is, the dictatorship in which this country is located. We have come to support the Niš team "Go for Change", after which they will have independent consultations with the entire opposition. We believe that it is necessary to persevere in the legal way, and at the same time in civil disobedience. Citizens are the last line of defense of the Constitutional order, said Manojlović.
