Citizens' assemblies of Novi Sad, which were founded at the suggestion of students, as one of the ways of fighting against progressive lawlessness and the usurpation of institutions, have made a decision: they will file a criminal complaint against the president of the city parliament, Dina Vučinić, because the relevant refuses to call elections for local community councils.
The deadline for calling the election expired on May 14, according to the representatives of citizens' assemblies, and reported by local media.
There is no doubt that the decision to break the law and extend the local vote was made at a higher party level: neither the anonymous mayor Žarko Mićin, nor the somewhat less anonymous Dina Vučinić. She is one of those picturesque persons that a citizen would be afraid of if he met her alone on the street, either because of her arrogant behavior and probable knowledge of various extreme martial arts, or because of her crazy statements.
For example, she once wrote that Croats are a "permanently sick nation", and she told a city councilor that she allows herself too much: she presents in the assembly, but she has a speech impediment.
She is the image and image of the progressive government, not only in Novi Sad. Her behavior and statements only allowed her to advance in the party hierarchy.
Pure lawlessness
And why did progressive "respectable people" decide that the elections for local communities in Novi Sad should be postponed as long as possible?
The thing is clear: because they would easily lose on them!
They lost them in the three local communities of Liman in 2021 as well, despite electoral tricks and fraud, despite buying votes, intimidation of citizens and the involvement of all the city's criminal gangs. And where it won't be now, four years later, when even those who live in the darkest basements of reality have become clear about who rules the city and what he has done to the city.
It was not only the gruesome tragedy at the Novi Sad Railway Station that opened their eyes: namely, at every corner it is visible what the highly corrupt and, to say the least, incompetent city government has done to the once comfortable city. Novi Sad is a fast-growing shantytown over which an urbicide of heavenly proportions was carried out. A city of incredible impossibilities.
Fear shattered, SNS undermined
Not only will he lose the elections for local communities, but he will experience a complete disaster, it is clear to everyone.
The citizens have organized themselves well, they are immune to intimidation, they know about the gnat. The progressives will, of course, use all their slander mechanisms, but it won't help them very much. Somehow they lost an important part of the substance in the elections, their members are confused and scared.
In the end, this has been going on for a long time, why would someone defend a notorious and disgraced party with his shoulders and risk that his neighbors will make a sanitary deviation from him, when the majority got only crumbs from the table, while those at the top of the city structures (not to mention the ones of a higher rank) have piled on for three or four generations.
The best indicator of the state of affairs in the SNS is that there are only a few "ordinary members" in front of the party premises and at the party stands, surrounded by officials who defend what they have gained.
What are local communities?
Now, a normal person would ask how progressives can lose elections for local communities when political parties are not allowed to participate in them?
Because local communities should be a form of direct citizen participation, dealing with real problems and interests of citizens, not party ideologies and demands. Logically, they should be a civil counterbalance to the party-established authorities in cities and municipalities.
The answer is: they can lose the elections, as they proudly announced the other day, overwhelmingly won the local communities in Babušnica and Bela Palanka, despite the fact that the parties do not participate in them.
Battle for symbols
Symbolism is important in politics.
The progressives rule by fear and the perception of untouchable omnipotence, which means power from the top of the state to the house council. If they were defeated in the local communities of Novi Sad by self-organized citizens, and very badly, the truncated pyramid of power would split even more.
The progressives' love for local communities has other dimensions: they have been turned into local party committees where party life takes place, while the premises of these institutions are hermetically sealed for citizens and their interests. What's the point of citizens asking about their own lives, I guess we and our investors know what's good for them.
Let's remind you of something else. When they realized that they were losing the elections for the local community on Liman, the progressives transferred them to the field of patriotism. They proved once again that nationalism is the last refuge of scoundrels. This part of the city was painted with the colors of the Serbian flag, and progressive subscribers marched through Liman, sending the message that the fight for the local communities, which by the way are quite disempowered, is actually a fight between "Serbs" and "Ustašluk".
He will try something similar now. In response to the citizens who voted for the citizens and not for the party, they turned the Mast Square in Limanski Park, which was intended for exhibitions of artistic flags, into an oasis of national symbols. 49 flags of Serbia in one place. Never too many flags.
An outpouring of power and flags in the brain, someone would say. But the story, kanda, is coming to an end.
