The president of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), Ivica Dacic, told reporters today before the party's Main Board session that the party will formally make a decision on participation in the new Government of Serbia.
He repeated several times that he did not discuss with the President of Serbia and the Serbian Progressive Party, Aleksandar Vučić, personal solutions and portfolios intended for the SPS, nor about his position, and that apart from what Vučić said at the press conference, he will be deputy prime minister and head of the Bureau for coordination of the security services, he knows nothing else.
He reminded that even without an agreement on participation in the Government of Serbia, the Socialists voted for the election of the President of the Assembly of Serbia and the election of the local government in Belgrade, and added that discussions about the Government of Serbia will continue after the return of the President from New York, from the session of the United Nations General Assembly.
"What am I going to be?" I don't know, I understand the needs of the state and I am at its disposal," said Dacic.
Let's recall that Ivica Dacic was the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the President of the Serbian Parliament, because Vučić offered him that position in earlier election cycles.
Dacic claims that he did not discuss with the representative for the formation of the Government of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, the portfolios that the SPS could receive. "I know you don't believe me, but we haven't discussed personnel solutions," he said.
