The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade announced that by order of the Special Department for Suppression of Corruption of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, members of the Internal Control Sector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS arrested four members of the Intervention Unit 92 of the Duty Service of the Police Administration for the City of Belgrade, as well as the director of the "Steak and Wine Bar" restaurant on suspicion of having committed various criminal acts, after the use of firearms in the presence of numerous guests in that restaurant on November 5, 2025.
"Due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of Trade in influence as co-perpetrators, the commander of the Intervention Unit 92 DN and the assistant to the commander of the aforementioned Intervention Unit JS were arrested," it was stated in the announcement.
It is added that the leaders of the intervention team of the mentioned Intervention Units of the NS and NK were also arrested due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they had committed one criminal offense of Abuse of official position, while the director of the restaurant D.Ž. arrested due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he has committed criminal acts Failure to report the criminal act and the perpetrator and Assistance to the perpetrator after the criminal act has been committed.
The suspects were detained for up to 48 hours, during which time they will be brought in for questioning.
Why are the suspects policemen?
Due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal acts of Causing General Danger and Unauthorized Production, Possession, Carrying and Trafficking of Weapons and Explosive Substances, the criminal report also includes Saša Vuković Boske, who is in custody, and who was charged in another case in which he is charged with the criminal offense of Serious Murder.
As stated in the announcement, there are grounds for suspicion that DN and JS and the wanted person on November 5, 2025, between 18 and 19 p.m., using their official position and real influence, intervened on the suspects NS and NK not to perform an official act that must be performed.
"It is suspected that, while sitting in the same office, they were informed by the NN "boss" that there was a fight in the "Steak and Wine Bar" restaurant, and during the fight, firearms were fired, so they agreed to influence the subordinate leaders of the NS and N.K intervention teams, calling them on the phone and telling them what actions not to take, i.e. not to inform the investigative team, not to provide a person place for the purpose of investigation, that no investigation and collection of evidence for the committed criminal offense is carried out, that the competent public prosecutor's office is not informed about the event, and that the event is presented as a verbal discussion and an ordinary bar fight", the statement of the prosecution stated.
It is added that after that, as is suspected, DN instead of the investigation team, called the head of PS Voždovac to whom he informed that there had been an ordinary bar fight in that bar in which two people had killed each other and that there was no need to conduct an investigation, nor do they undertake any other police actions, without telling him that a firearm was used at a critical moment.
"NS and NK suspect that after arriving at the restaurant 'Steak and Wine Bar', as team leaders of the Intervention Unit by official order, contrary to the Law on Police, the Regulation on Special and Special Police Units and the Rulebook on the Internal Organization and Systematization of Workplaces of the MUP of the RS, upon learning that there was a fight and shots fired in that bar, they did not inform the investigation team in order to go to the scene to conduct an investigation, and they did not inform competent public prosecutor about the event, they did not secure the location for the investigation, they did not take the statements of the present citizens, eyewitnesses to the event, they did not fill out the form for the persons who were legitimized on that occasion, they did not record this event, nor did they take other actions that they were obliged to take according to the law", the prosecution announced.
As it is stated, in this way they obtained the benefit of the SV in the form of not filing a criminal report for the criminal offense of Causing a general danger and the criminal offense of Unauthorized production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosive substances, and they caused damage to the person nicknamed "Runjo" by preventing him from exercising his rights, as the injured party, in court proceedings.
Covering up the tracks
"DV suspects that, as a responsible person - the director of the catering facility 'Steak and Wine Bar', he deliberately failed to report a criminal offense that he found out about in the course of his duties, because after a fight and a shooting in that bar, he did not report the commission of a criminal offense, even though he was present at it," the statement said.
Also, it is added, by concealing the traces, he helped the perpetrator of the crime not to be discovered, in such a way that he first showed the police officers of PS Voždovac, who came to the scene, that the hole in the glass originated from before, and not from the event in question, and told them that there was not even a fight in the bar, but only a verbal argument, even though he was present at the critical event.
According to reports, he then ordered his employees to clean the scene in order to hide the traces of the crime, to replace the glass that was damaged by a fired projectile the next day, and in the period until November 8, 2025, he deleted the video surveillance footage from the facility.
At the request of the police officers, he then handed them the receiver with the deleted recordings, along with a certificate of the temporarily confiscated items.
SV is suspected that on November 5, 2025, around 6:00 p.m., he caused danger to the life and limb of people by using a firearm, in such a way that, after a verbal argument and a fight with a person nicknamed "Runjo", he pulled out a "glock" model 17 fifth generation pistol from his belt, for which he did not have a permit to carry issued by the competent authority, and fired from it in a bar where a large number of guests were at that time, the fired projectile broke through the glass on the door of the aforementioned bar.
Boske in custody for the murder in Senjak
Let us remind you that Saša Vuković Boske has been in custody since May 14, 2026, because it is suspected that on May 12, he killed Aleksandar Nešović, known as Baja, with shots from a pistol, and then with helpers hid his body in a barrel and buried it near the Jarkovac lake.
The now former head of the Belgrade police, Veselin Milić, was arrested together with 10 other people for the murders of Aleksandar Nešović Baja in the restaurant "27" in Senjak on May 12.
It is suspected that Nešović was shot by Saša Vuković aka Boske. Initially, it was suspected that the crime was committed in the presence of Milić and that he, together with three other police officers from his security, participated in removing traces of the crime. On June 3, VJT announced that the criminal charges against those three police officers were dismissed, also due to a lack of evidence.
