Rector of Belgrade University Vladan Djokic met on Saturday (July 18) with British Ambassador to Serbia Edward Ferguson and Great Britain's Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Karen Pearce, announced University of Belgrade.
"The topics of discussion were the role of the university within the initiatives of the Berlin Process, the current situation at the University of Belgrade, and the development of academic cooperation with universities in Great Britain," the University announced.
He had something to say about this meeting Inform.
"Scandal! The English have shown who is in charge of the anti-Serbian revolution," reads the title of the article about Rector Đokić's meeting with British diplomats. In addition, the rector of the University of Belgrade was decorated with epithets such as "the first man of the Serbian deep state" and "inspirer of blockade terror".

This kind of news would not be worthy of attention - Informer publishes dozens of articles every day in which the rector of the largest university in Serbia is declared to be the number one enemy of the state - if the same portal had not published another news an hour earlier.
It will turn out that, in addition to the rector, another man met with Karen Pierce on the same day - no less than the president of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.
"Vučić after the meeting with Karen Pearce: I believe in continued cooperation with the United Kingdom to strengthen peace and stability," reads the headline of Informer's news about this event.

Double cubits
Thus, it seems that the meeting with the British envoy for the same media is at the same time proof of foreign interference and the "anti-Serbian revolution", as well as a confirmation of diplomatic wisdom and a vision of peace. Just depending on who was sitting in the armchair opposite the British diplomats.
As Informer reminds in the article about Rector Đokić, "the editor-in-chief of the Russian magazine National Defense Igor Korotchenko made a shocking claim that London and Berlin are launching a coordinated attack on the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić."
On the other hand, the President of Serbia claims the opposite on his Instagram.
"I pointed out that, although the relations between Serbia and the United Kingdom are good, there is significant room for their further improvement, based on the long tradition and historical ties of our peoples. I emphasized economic cooperation and continuity of political dialogue at a high level, including the invitation to Prime Minister Starmer to visit Serbia. I firmly believe in the continuation of cooperation with the United Kingdom to strengthen peace, stability and prosperity in our region and in Europe," Vučić wrote after the meeting with Karen Pearce.
