Police is in cooperation with the Higher Public prosecution in Belgrade, in two separate actions, arrested P. Đ. (1989) due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal act of calling for a violent change of the constitutional order and S. Ž. (1981) due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed a criminal act of violent behavior at a sports event or public gathering.
P. Đ. is suspected of having posted statuses on social networks and broadcast a live broadcast program from 1 December 12 to 2024 March 11, in which he used hate speech to call and incite citizens to take action to violently change and overthrow the constitutional order and to overthrow by force the representative of the highest state authorities - the President of the Republic of Serbia, according to the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
S. Ž. it is suspected that from the beginning of December 2024 to March 12, 2025, he published statuses on social networks and transmitted a program that he broadcast live, and by his behavior and slogans at a public gathering, he caused hatred and intolerance and called for violence and physical confrontation with participants of a public gathering with whom he does not share the same views and beliefs.
S. Ž. is suspected to have committed violence at a public meeting in front of the Stari Grad Police Station in Belgrade on March 8 this year when he shouted, insulted and threatened police officers and forced one of them to drop his weapon.
According to the police statement, S. Ž. it is suspected that on March 11 this year, during a public gathering near the RTS building, he entered into a verbal conflict with several student-guards, who did not allow him to pass to the stairs of the building and the gathered crowd, while previously on the same evening in a live broadcast at the Main Post Office, with the intention of endangering the constitutional order, he called and encouraged citizens to overthrow by force the representative of the highest state authorities - the President of the Republic of Serbia.
The suspects were detained for up to 48 hours and they will be brought to the competent prosecutor's office with a criminal report, the MUP announced.
