"Prva Vojvodina Brigade" elementary school does not have a use permit for the upgraded part of the building that they regularly use and where the children stay, reports "portal 021.rs".
The school management informed the teachers and parents that the school will not be open due to extraordinary supervision.
"Tomorrow, due to the preventive inspection, the school will not be open and there will be no classes." We expect measures to be taken by the competent authorities tomorrow and the normalization of classes from Tuesday," the school director said in an email.
Upgrading was one of the topics of the parents, who requested information from the school administration about whether there is a use permit or not, but they did not receive concrete answers.
At the end of January, the parents' council of this elementary school asked the director of the school for information on whether a use permit had been issued for the subsequently added part of the school.
The City Administration for Urban Planning and Construction Affairs replied to the parents that "after reviewing the records, it was determined that a use permit was not issued for the extension in question."
In their response, they add that the extension can only be approved on a building that has a use permit, adding that the original building has the same.
The Department for Emergency Situations of the MUP will carry out supervision, as well as the Construction Inspection.
As the parents were forced to search for more information about the state of the school themselves, they sent an email to the City Administration for Urban Planning and Construction with a request for access to information of public importance regarding whether the school, or the part of the school that has been upgraded, has a usable permission.
