While Russia is once again instilling fear with the "bloody Serbian Maidan", and now "Time" is apostrophized as a participant in this process. Almost the same messages were sent from the top of the Russian and Serbian authorities less than two years ago, with the difference that now Serbian students are getting involved in the whole game. Thus, it is stated that the "Serbian Maidan" is expected for November 1 and the anniversary of the fall of the canopy in Novi Sad.
However, the Students in Blockade for this day, however, announce the largest commemorative rally to date.
Who calls for a bloody conflict?
"There is still a month and a half until November 1, and the Russians are already contacting us to inform us about the details of the protest, about which we still do not have details. I don't know where they got the idea that anyone would cause riots on that day, but it is clear that they announced this in conjunction with our authorities, which are no strangers to violence, which has been shown several times so far. As soon as they announced the students' protest in the European Parliament, the Russians were afraid of losing control over Serbia and now they will do everything to prevent us from Europe. They all want to monitor us and work in their own interests," a student of the Faculty of Science in Novi Sad, who asked to remain anonymous, told Nova.rs.
During October, the details of the meeting for November 1 will be announced.
"We will announce all the details of the gathering in the next few weeks. On that day, there will certainly be a commemorative gathering in Novi Sad, the largest so far," he adds. "It is planned that our colleagues from Belgrade, as well as the whole country, will come to Novi Sad, but we are still agreeing on the details. What is certain is that none of us would have thought of causing any riots, incidents, provocations on that day. People will then be overcome with grief and it is a day to remember the victims, and not for an attack on the state and conflicts, as stated by those Russian intelligence officers, who are obviously not very well informed. Although there are angry citizens, no one on that day will think about conflicts."
At this gathering on November 1, according to reports, students expect a large number of people, and they appeal to citizens not to fall for any provocations, which there will certainly be.
"I think the citizens already know what commemorative gatherings look like, at which there have been no incidents so far. It is clear to everyone that November 1 will also be peaceful and dignified," the student of the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade emphasized for Nova.rs.
A student at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad stated that he was afraid of "intruding elements because the police are the most violent in this city."
"In Novi Sad, the police are always the most violent, and I'm only concerned that there are no elements that will cause incidents, so they will accuse the students of that. I am sure that there will be a huge number of people who will neutralize and prevent any violent situations, because everyone is aware of the character of that rally. I also think that this is more of a media narrative, to scare people, not to come to Novi Sad, but they will not scare us," he told Nova.rs.
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, stated that until now every gathering of students in the blockade was, according to their announcements, commemorative, and that in the end it turned into a gathering of thugs and thugs.
"I really thank them, because each of their gatherings was a commemorative gathering that has nothing to do with Orthodox customs. Nowhere do you have 16 minutes of silence and the lighting of candles like that, so you don't have that in Orthodoxy, it doesn't exist anywhere. But, every one of their gatherings was commemorative and in the end it turned into a gathering of thugs and thugs. No one was different," Vučić said.
