Students of the Faculty of Law marked the anniversary of the beginning of the blockade at that faculty with the "365 days of seeking justice" protest

The students of the Faculty of Law, who marked the anniversary of the beginning of the blockade at that faculty with the "365 days of seeking justice" protest, told the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to "do what is fair - to call elections", and to the Minister of Culture, Nikola Selaković, that "he will not run away from the law and the first".

A student of the Faculty of Law, Mihajlo, who gave a speech in front of the Presidency, told the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, that "the people no longer want him".

"You are not a judge, you are not a prosecutor, you are not above the Constitution or above us who are standing here, Your time is up! It is time for this people to really shine. Stop betraying this people and do the only fair thing - call elections!" said student Mihajlo.

"Management out! The people are the people!"

The student of the Faculty of Law stated in her speech in front of the National Theater that the actors of that theater were always welcome guests at the Faculty of Law and gave them support when it was most needed.

She thanked the actors who have been with the students and the people since the beginning of the protest.

"Just as they stood by us, so we also stand by them, consistently, honestly and every day. That's why we send a clear message: 'Management outside! The people are the people!'" said the student of the Faculty of Law.

She stated that in recent weeks, stories have been heard about "secret administrators", about people who "make decisions from the shadows" on behalf of the entire student movement.

"We have also heard that we are FSB, CIA, BIA, but the truth is simple: the decisions of the student movement are made according to the principle of direct democracy, where each faculty in the blockade has one vote where everyone is equal. Each decision goes through a series of debates, plenums and thousands of votes, and always represents the majority position of the students in the blockade," she stated.

"Minister Selaković, you will not run away from law and justice"

Previously, another student, in a speech in front of the building of the Government of Serbia, stated that the link that connects the buildings of the Government of Serbia and the General Staff is the Minister of Culture, Nikola Selaković.

He stated that Selaković is "a man who, instead of responding to the invitation to the Prosecution's hearing, showed that apart from not having a basic culture, he does not have an iota of respect for institutions and Serbian history."

"Minister Selaković, you will not run away from the law and justice. You are awaiting a legal and fair trial just like all your corrupt colleagues. This government no longer has the legitimacy to decide on behalf of its people and sell off all corners of this country, from the east and the west, to our southern province and the General Staff building," said the student who read the speech in front of the Government of Serbia.

He stated that the current convocation of the Assembly of Serbia does not reflect the will of the people and that is why the students are asking for elections to be called.

An exhibition of photos of students from blockades in the previous year was opened at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade.

The fluorescent vests of the security guards that they wore at protests and during various actions, badges, banners, as well as the sneakers of the student who ran to Brussels are on display.

Protest walk by students of the Faculty of Law

It is planned that the first destination of the students' protest walk will be the Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office, the place where they had their first action - "1.000 letters to Zagorka Dolovac".

After that, he will head to the Government of Serbia, with messages for the former student of that faculty, and now the Minister of Culture, Nikola Selaković, and the Prime Minister of Serbia, Đura Matsut.

Then follows a walk to the seat of the President of Serbia on Andrićevo venc, where he will ask for the announcement of elections.

In front of the National Theater, students of the Faculty of Law will thank the actors who supported them and continue their walk towards the Rectorate of the University of Belgrade - the place where all student decisions are made.

After the Rectorate, the walk continues towards the building of Radio and Television of Serbia, and will end at the Constitutional Court with, as they stated, "messages to the dormant institution".

The students of the Faculty of Law invited their colleagues from other faculties, lawyers, judges, professors and everyone who has supported them so far to join them in celebrating the anniversary of the blockade of the Faculty of Law.

Bodiroga at the protest of students of the Faculty of Law

The president of the Euroleague, Dejan Bodiroga, said that the students "did a great thing" this year.

He thanked them for that. Bodiroga joined the Law students who are marking the one year anniversary of the beginning of the blockade.

For a year, students have been asking for their demands to be met, and this summer a new request was added to call for extraordinary parliamentary elections. No request has been fulfilled.

In the meantime, classes at the faculties have been normalized, except at the State University in Novi Pazar, which is under physical blockade, and the students of this university are demanding forced administration.

A message from students of the Faculty of Agriculture

Students of the Faculty of Agriculture marked one year of the blockade, and sent a message to the citizens.

"Thank you for standing side by side with us, giving us a wind behind us and proof that we are on the right path."

Now we are a year older, more mature and wiser.

Our fight will not stop, until those responsible are behind bars and this country becomes a place to live whose citizens will feel safe and valued, whose authorities will act in accordance with the law and respect all spheres of society.

We are aware that the road to justice is slow, but it is very attainable.

See you on the street!", said the students.

Thank you for standing shoulder to shoulder with us, providing us with the wind at our backs and proof that we are on the right path.

Previously, after 16 minutes of silence in memory of the victims, students and citizens started a protest walk on Avijatičarski square in Zemun.

The participants of the walk headed towards the Ušće roundabout, while the passage over the Gazela was announced for 14 p.m.

The convoy will then continue towards Jurija Gagarina Street, to the place where their colleague Kristina was hit by a vehicle during the student blockade on January 24 of this year.

Arriving at the roundabout near the Municipality of Novi Beograd, which the students marked as the "meeting place", is planned around 3:30 p.m., after passing through the Street of Youth Brigades.

In Novi Sad, today is also the anniversary of the blockade of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, where students and citizens gathered in front of the faculty building paid their respects to the victims.

The students remind that they have been insisting on the fulfillment of their demands for a year, to which was added during the summer the request to call for extraordinary parliamentary elections. According to them, none of the demands have been fulfilled. Although classes at most faculties have been restored in the meantime, the State University in Novi Pazar is still under physical blockade, and the students of that university are demanding the introduction of forced administration.

Letter from student Kristina

Student Kristina, who was run over in Juraj Gagarina Street on January 24 during the first general strike organized by students, addressed the crowd today, at the place where she was run over, reading a letter.

On that day, Kristina was a security guard, and during the protest walk she was hit by Milica Stojanović's car, during which she suffered head injuries. Stojanović was first charged with the crime of "attempted murder", and then the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, pardoned her.

"She deliberately stepped on the gas while I was standing. It was not a misunderstanding or a traffic error, but an attempted murder. I still remember that look, the sound of the car accelerating and the hospital bed I woke up in," she said, adding that she suffered serious head injuries, and that the outcome could have been fatal.

"That day I realized that no one is safe, and later that the law does not apply equally to everyone. The criminal offense of attempted aggravated murder was reduced to a serious crime against general security, so that this reduced crime would also be crowned with the pardon of President Vučić," the student recalled.

She said that today Stojanović is walking freely on the streets of Belgrade, and she asked if this is justice, stating that she is not looking for pity.

"I'm not just talking about my injustice, because it's a systemic injustice against society. We'll fight so that no one experiences it. We don't forget January, truth, injustice or pardon. Pardon is not an act of mercy, but becomes a weapon when it's misused," Christina said.

Vučić's billboards and reality

There is, literally, no difference between the one who claims it is day in the middle of the night, or the one who claims to be a giraffe, from the claims we read on billboards: that Vučić is working to unify Serbs and that Serbia is doing better and better day by day.
