An unidentified vehicle exploded at the Rainbow Bridge border crossing between the United States and Canada near Niagara Falls, local media reported. The border crossing is closed, as are three other bridges connecting the two states over the Niagara River.

The American network "Fox News", citing unnamed sources, reported that there were two people in the vehicle at the time of the explosion, and that this event is being treated as a terrorist attack. And the Canadian security services have confirmed that the investigation into the explosion is being conducted under the assumption that it is a terrorist attack.
Both people from the vehicle that exploded are dead, as well as a police officer, as confirmed.
