The police arrived on the scene very quickly and found a young woman's face lying motionless. Other competent services were also informed, and the Ambulance confirmed the death on the spot, said the police director.
"The prosecutor's office was informed about this, and the prosecutor gave an order to secure the scene, and other measures and actions were taken," said Vasiljević. "On the fifth floor of the faculty, we find an open window and under the window a box with a certain amount of pyrotechnics and sprays. The mentioned items also contain powder from which we clearly saw that a fire extinguisher was used to put out a fire on the box that contained the funds. According to the order of the prosecution, the body was transported for an autopsy, and the police took other measures and actions in conducting the investigation on the spot."

Why did the Anti-Corruption Department come?
The police director also said that the UKP's Anti-Corruption Department received an order to collect information from VJT in Belgrade, the Special Department for Suppression of Corruption, about the unfortunate incident. The Prosecutor's Office ordered the collection of documentation related to the security of the faculty, procedures for entering the faculty building, working hours of the faculty and other circumstances that are important for the event in order to determine whether the security was in accordance with the regulations.
"Our criminal inspectors are conducting interviews with the responsible persons of the faculty. This unpleasant event shows that the measures and actions that Serbia ordered and the Ministry of Internal Affairs had not followed, that the faculty should be a place where young people should study and prepare for the future. Several times last year we came to the faculty by invitation and found pyrotechnics, poles, poles, clubs, alcohol, food. We turned higher education institutions into something that we cannot call appropriate. This event showed that the faculty should to be a place in accordance with the regulations," said Vasiljević.

"We will see if the faculty followed the rules that they made themselves, if they respected the time of entering and leaving the faculty and what is allowed to be written on the faculty. The MUP will continue to take measures within its competence on all issues. I ask everyone to take measures and actions within their competence. This must not happen again, we must not lose young people because we did not take action, but we had to. We will do our job, the state of Serbia will do its job, but those responsible for higher education institutions must also do their part job", concluded Vasiljević.
