Study at UNIRSM who participate in the cycling campaign "Guards of the Constitution" will arrive on Saturday" Kragujevac, where the final event of the ten-day tour will be held, during which, according to the organizers, they covered more than 2.000 kilometers through Serbia.
Two groups of students left Belgrade on September 17, carrying with them copies of the Constitution of Serbia. One route led through Vojvodina, while the other went towards the south of the country. During the trip, students visited cities and municipalities, spoke with citizens, collected their signatures of support and presented the Student List program.
Kragujevac was chosen for the completion of the action and because of its historical significance for Serbian constitutionalism. In that city, on February 15, 1835, at the Great National Assembly, the Sretenj Constitution was adopted and proclaimed, one of the key documents in the development of modern Serbian statehood. Its main creator was Dimitrije Davidović, and the constitutional solutions were influenced by the then liberal constitutions, primarily French and Belgian.
The program dedicated to the arrival of students begins at 2 p.m., while the ceremonial welcome of cyclists is scheduled for 5 p.m. The main program should start at 18:00.
The organizers, students of the University of Kragujevac, announced that during the event, candidates for deputies from the Student List from that city will be presented. Citizens from all over Serbia are invited to attend the final gathering.
At the end of the program in Kragujevac, the students will return to Belgrade, together with copies of the Constitution and signatures of support that they collected during the cycling tour in different parts of Serbia.
